Sierra Leone Senior Women’s Cricket Team are on the edge of sweeping the BCA Kalahari Women’s T20 Tournament Cup along with three high-stakes awards, having delivered four straight wins in two days in Gaborone.
They have crushed Mozambique, Eswatini, and host side Botswana.
On Sunday, they tamed the antics of Botswana with corrosive six-run win before ruffling Eswatini by 150 runs to draw close to the Kalahari Cup with further aim to pick up three other enviable awards. Against Eswatini, the Ladies scored 179 runs, losing just three wickets in 20 overs.
In a tournament of fourteen matches, the Ladies are grimmed to redefine their three-time NWACC champion title.
Captain Aminata Kamara is topping the race for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Bowler of the Tournament awards. For the MVP, lawyer Linda Bull is second but first in the Best Fielder chart.
On Tuesday, 29th April, 2025, the Ladies will again face Mozambique and host Botswana in a fight to enter the final.
