One hundred and ten students have graduated from the People’s Innovation Training Institute (PITIns) at Yams Farms, Hill Station Waterloo.

The 2025 edition marked the fourth time the Institute has produced graduates to contribute to nation-building using the required middle-level skills.

The Institute offers courses such as Beauty and Cosmetics, Gara-Tie Dying, Cake Making, Interior Decorations, among others.

PITI’s Proprietor Mohamed Gbla said a good number of their graduates are running their own businesses but expressed the lack of internship placement for their students as a challenge.

“Only a few companies have opened their doors for mentorship and job training. We decided to establish a multidisciplinary engineering company called Versatile Engineering Solutions to solve that problem. Here, we deliver services in industrial machinery installation and maintenance for companies across the country. We develop standard operating procedures for machine and industrial processes,” he said.

Victoria Y. Solomon, one of the graduates with a diploma in Microsoft Office, said she is proud, encouraging all youths from 18-35 years to acquire skills and never give up on their dreams.

From 2022, three hundred and forty-eight students have graduated from the Institute.
