The Sierra Leone Reporters Union is poised to organize a historic presidential debate on Friday 16th May 2025 for the two candidates vying for the presidential seat of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), an election set for June 7, 2025 in Freetown.
The debate will be conducted under the theme “Strengthening Democratic Engagement and Accountability within the Media sector.”
The much anticipated event will be a platform for the two media gurus to share their visions for SLAJ and to solicit support from members.
The atmosphere has been tense as both Alhaji Manika Kamara and Mustapha Sesay pull sweeping chances to succeed Ahmad Sahid Nasralla, the outgoing Prexy.
