President Bio who doubles as the Minster of Energy has sacked Dr. Joe Lahai Sormana the Director General of Electricity Distribution Supply Authority (EDSA) and his deputy Ing. James Rogers.
The Chief Operating Officer has been chosen to spearhead the management of EDSA untill the voids are filled.
In addition, the Commercial Manager, he Head of Revenue Collection, the Head of Technical Commerical Operations, and the Marketing Manager have been sent on leave indefinitely.
The Energy Ministry says it is gearing towards establishing a centralized revenue collection accounts, increasing private sector participation in electricity distribution, deploying of prepaid, tamper-proof meters for T4 customers, among others.
The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainable transformation of the Energy sector.
