According to Emmanuel Samura a reputable worker at at the state broadcaster.

He said some of his colleagues are paid pittance, some even below the minimum wage of eight hundred New Leones (SLe 800) despite working 15 to 20 hours daily.

“Members of the Board are well paid, but our concerns are not treated seriously,” he added.

He further stated that the Board earlier ordered the Director General Josephine Kamara not to sign any cheque that exceeds 20 thousand New Leones, for reasons best know to them.

Another worker whose placard reads “SLBC Board must Go” posited that the DG has been sidelined by the Board because she has their concerns at heart.
