Renowned businessman Bulldozer Dabor has filed a 10 billion New Leones lawsuit against Orange Sierra Leone after his business ran into a huge loss when the mobile company shut down its internet service on Thursday.

According to Dabor, Orange Sierra Leone has been stealing his credit and data for over a week, and Thursday was the worst experience he has ever had from the internet providers. His disappointment at Orange’s negligence over the issue has got him frustrated and dissatisfied, which has left him with no option but to file a lawsuit against the telecommunications company.

He stated that since the internet shutdown, no press release or apology has been issued out by the company or government institution responsible for communications.

The Ministry of Information and Communication and the Ministry of Communication and Innovation have yet to publicly explain or apologize to the public for such an act.

After several complaints made to Orange Sierra Leone with receipt evidence, the customer is yet to get his problem solved. “If the government ilor no other Sierra Leonean is ready to fight this fight, I Dabor will personally take this fight. I do believe Sierra Leone has one of the most expensive tariffs in Africa, especially in West Africa, yet we have been scammed by international institutions that should maintain integrity and pride. My lawyers have already prepared the documents as we have officially written all bodies responsible, and I am taking this seriously.

“I own a company worth over three million dollars, and I have lost huge amounts in these difficult times, all in the name of an internet company. I am using my money to pay for a subscription I can’t benefit from. Sierra Leone must stay out of such a mess as we head for the better; the internet can make everyone in Sierra Leone an average man if only we can fix the problems around it. This is why the government should, particularly, take it seriously and make sure its citizens are satisfied, ” he said.
