The Main Opposition Political Party All People Congress (APC) in a press release dated 19th May 2025 revealed that an individual was caught with a freshly printed copy of the party old membership card.
This fictitious move is seen by the Party as a deliberate attempt to create confusion and undermine the integrity of its verification process, having failed to bypass or manipulate the newly introduced system.
The Party has unequivocally agreed to discredit any individual that produces a fabricated old membership card outside the verified system and will not be allowed to participate in the verification process. It says it has an existing age-old database that contains specific individual name, AA numbers, and corresponding details of their members.
At this stage, it says it is not accusing anyone against the rumours making rounds.
The case has been reported at the CID, but the individual caught with the fake membership cards is on the run.
However, the manager of the printing press has been invited by the CID.
